Christmas and New Years Makeup Haul
Kiko Milano, MAC, Makeup Revolution, Red Cherry, Stila, Urban Decay and W7 haul from Christmas and New Years sales.
Over Christmas and New Years, I did a whole load of shopping and took advantage of the sales to top up my professional kit and buy a few treats for myself as well.
I haven't tried everything from my haul just yet, but will be doing full reviews on the products at a later date.
I've been buying random pieces from Kiko Milano for over a year now, but I never thought to try their foundations ever. Fellow makeup artist and all-round nice lady Nisha Davdra recommended this Second Skin Foundation as something very nice, light and hydrating.
It normally retails for £18.90 but is currently on sale for £9.40!
Kiko Skin Tone Corrector which Nisha recommended and is meant to brighten up dull skin and is supposed to be perfect for older skin (I need this now that I'm getting old!).
I'd used this MAC Pink Plaid at the London Makeup School when doing Asian Bridal Makeup, and since I needed one more MAC Lipstick for the Back to MAC Programme, I decided to buy this pale pink matte lipstick for a nude kind of look.
I'm not sure how I heard about this brand, but I did note that every time I went to Superdrug, all the makeup was sold out, so I hadn't really tried anything from it. I can't actually remember why I decided to try it, but it seemed a good way to buy a few bits and pieces for my professional makeup kit.
You can never have enough beauty blenders, and I wanted to try Makeup Revolution's version which they call the Advanced Complexion Expert Soft.
I needed a Brush Cleaner and this Pro Hygeiene Anti Bacterial Brush Cleaner seemed like a steal at £5.00!
The Ultra 32 Shade Eyeshadow Palette Flawless Matte was recommended as a staple for Makeup Artists, and I bought it because sometimes you just need some matte shades, but I wasn't about to pay a fortune for them. Good thing this palette only costs £8!
The One Contour Stick looked really good in the videos I looked up on Makeup Revolution. Initial impressions seem good, but I need to use it a few more times to make a final decision.
I got some Red Cherry lashes from Falselashes.co.uk after reading this article on how some of them are dupes for Huda Lashes. I tried the 102's out on a friend and they are HUGE! We had to take them off her because her eyes couldn't handle it, probably better for brides!
I got these Stila Lipsticks for half price from the W7 Outlet store in Junction 32 when I went to visit my parents and OMG, they are so pretty! I can't wait to try them out.
Bought an eye pencil after repeated raving by Kaushal Beauty as I needed a long-lasting pencil for the waterline and the girl at the Urban Decay counter said this was waterproof and wouldn't budge. Tried it out and it seems to hold up well, but will need to test out some more before I can make an informed review.
I picked up this Pore Minimizer as an alternative to Benefit's more pricy version. Let's see if it works.
A girl can never have too many beauty blenders, and these are latex free. I tried some out and they seem to be much softer and easier to use than the one I bought on eBay.
I bought this Facial Cleaning Pad for myself as my skin is getting so bad and the exfoliator I've ordered from Dermalogica is going to be a while, so I needed a quick boost to help brighten up my skin.
This Rimmel Max Volume Lash Mascara and W7 Oh So Waterproof mascara were a welcome addition to my kit.
This Water Lounge Rose Sauvage was a welcome addition as I needed some perfume for each of my parents and in-laws houses to keep myself carrying lots of things back and forth. It's a very light and breezy scent, and what's more it was 3 for £20 which was a bargain!
I hope you enjoyed my massive haul!
