Showroom Beauty Event and Goodies
We were very kindly invited to the Charlotte Street hotel which I eventually found with the help of Google Maps (because I am terrible at directions!), and was ushered into the most amazing pampering session which I couldn't take part in, because as a Hijabi, I don't really have any need to get my hair done!
I was able to take part in the Flat Lay challenge, which was an epic fail because I am awful at putting together Flat Lays as you all know, although I am trying to get better. You can see the pictures of the event and me trying to not notice the photographer while I chatted to fellow blogger Afshan here.
The event was an introduction to Showroom Beauty which is a newly launched affiliate marketing network of curated brands and publishers allowing users to shop straight from your site, without being directed to the brand's website, meaning that not only do you get a commission, it keeps visitors on your blog for longer!
I've had a little play with it, and I'm hoping to finalise my shop with all my favourites soon enough, so you guys can shop straight from Humairak.com!
Showroom Beauty is unlike anything I've ever seen in affiliate marketing. First of all, not only is it gorgeous, it's foolproof and you can curate the products in your shop personally, so readers can shop from your recommendations and you get a percentage of the commission. Win Win!
The Showroom organisers including Meryam and Sam were so helpful, and I have to give a big shout out to Hayley for organising such an awesome event. I really enjoyed meeting other bloggers including Talonted Lex, Devoted To Pink, Beauty Pashionista and Afshanesque at the event. It's always nice to get to know other bloggers, and feel less alone!
Now, onto the Goody Bag! The team at Showroom was so generous in what they gave the attendees with some of the best luxe items I've ever received, ever, and none I would ever have picked up, so it's a great introduction to some new brands.
I am obsessed with Mr. Men, so I was so pleased to see this Little Miss Blogger mug, I've been drinking my morning tea with it for a while now.
Clarins, the essentials eye palette. This is a gorgeous neutral eye palette, I can't wait to try. Normally these things end up in my Pro kit, but this time, I'm keeping this for myself.
I missed the Miller Harris event earlier in the year because I was working, so I was so pleased to recieve this Perfume in the goody bag.
The Omorovicza Cleansing Foam looks superb, and I can't wait to try this out with my Clarisonic!
We also got some self tanning samples, but I won't be using them, because I'm pretty tan enough already!
All in all, it was an excellent event, and I met Mr. T for Burgers at Burgista Bros in Shepherds Bush afterwards to celebrate my birthday which were so yum!
