In September, I was invited to an event at the Smashbox store through the Thirty Plus network, which is the brainchild of Hayley from London Beauty Queen. Last year, she started this network to help 30 plus bloggers connect and meet each other, as well as being recognised by brands as a force to be reckoned with.
Life doesn't stop at 30, and neither does Blogging.
The event was held at the Smashbox store in London, very near Oxford Street, so I made my way over to check out their new campaign which was to showcase 120 lipsticks so you can find the right shade for you.
You can find the shade I picked on the Thirty Plus instagram shade here.
At the end of the event, we were all very kindly, given a Goody Bag to try out the new Matte liquid lipsticks as well as one of the Be Legendary matte lipstick to try out.
HOW MUCH IS IT?
The matte lipsticks are £17.50 each and the matte liquid lipsticks are £19.00 each.
WHAT DOES IT INCLUDE?
The lipsticks come in matte and cream finishes in 120 shades. The matte liquid lipstick has a range of shades as well.
HOW DOES IT WEAR?
I was super impressed with how well both of these wear, including the red one, which I wore to the Showroom Thirty Plus event. Even after drinks, burgers and spicy chicken wings at Burgista Bros, the lipstick left a good stain on my lips. I had to really scrub it off before I went to sleep.
WHAT COLOURS DID I BUY?
The shades I was given were Stepping Out (the nude liquid lipstick), Bawse (the red liquid lipstick) and Latte Matte (the matte lipstick).
WOULD I RECOMMEND IT?
Yes! I really enjoy wearing these, although I tend to only wear them occasionally because I keep them in my professional makeup kit. They dry down matte and are super comfortable on the lips.
